I was planning to run 10 yesterday but I went to visit my parents and forgot my running shoes. So today my plan changed from 10 to 12 to 14 and eventually 16 when I woke up at 5 am and couldn't sleep. Probably shouldn't be uping the milage this much at one time but it felt good. 1. 7:45 - 128 HR 2. 8:17 - 144 3. 8:05 - 148 4 7:49 - 150 5. 8:04 - 150 6. 7:57 - 149 7. 7:53 - 148 8. 8:00 - 150 9. 8:17 - 145 10.7:58 - 146 11.8:10 - 154 12.7:56 - 156 13.7:57 - 157 14.8:04 - 155 15.7:39 - 158 16.7:29 - 165 Avg Pace- 8:00 Avg HR - 150 68 Deg, 78% Hum, 61 Deg Dew Point, 160 LBS (.10 mile warm-up and .5 mile cool-down)

My foot was pretty sore today so I just ran easy and shorter than originally planned.

Today it seemed a little warmer than the conditions read, but better than normal. Today I go back to the foot doctor, on my own accord, to see if there is anything that can be done to relieve some of my foot pain. I'm sure at best it might be a cortisone shot but he may not want to do that. I'm really hoping for something to relieve the nagging pain.

On a different note, today I ran the big loop. No real goal but as I ran the first part was just running while the middle was a slightly uncomfortable and then a push at the end. I also had run the same run about a month ago (8/28). It is interesting to compare the two as the conditions, topography and other factor are all exactly the same or very close. Looking at the paces and HR it is interesting to see the improvement mile after mile and how much it has been in a short time. I think in anoter month I will improve another 30 seconds per mile with the same effort.

Next weekend I am going to California to run the Long Beach Half Marathon with Callie (my daughter). I can't decide if I am going to just run with her (at about a 8:45-9:00 pace) or try and push myself. I think my best effort would be about a 7:30-7:45 pace.
