I finally hit a goal I've been striving for!

20 Miles @ 20 MPH - No Stops, Riding Solo  (actually I did 21.5 miles :-)

I have been trying to achieve this goal for a while. Usually I'm in the mid 19's when I try. This was a legit ride as there was not much wind and the route is virtually flat overall (+50') with the max elevation change of 150'. My max speed was 29.9 mph and my slowest was 11 mph. I rode from my house to Church in Lockhart. I was a sweaty mess when I got there:-)

On my way home the temperature had risen to 101 and I took it a little easier but went a slightly longer route home.

A little easier ride this morning. My calves, right behind my knees, are a little sore. I was going to ride 25 but I had a flat on my bike and had to fix it before I started.

10 miles slow with Sarah (my wife) and the SM Cycling Friends. This was the first time Sarah has ridden with any group. I believe she enjoyed it and plans to go back next Tuesday. Yeah

Good morning ride. It seemed a little cooler this morning, I guess the humidity was a little lower than normal. I'm starting to press the average speed up. Now it seems that about 19 mph is the reasonable effort in the hilly country where I live. I rode a new loop today that was right at 30 miles. This is a good morning ride with not too much traffic.

I know no one cares about all of this bike blogging but it's all I can do right now :-(  When I get to where I can sneeze and not hurt I'll start running again.

Another 29.5 mile morning but a little slower than yesterday.

Another 1-1/2 hours on the bike. Rode the now standard 29.5 route. It seems my speed is increasing slightly. Today felt like stronger ride and my HR avg was only 139. It did hover around 150 for a lot of the ride but dropped quickly on the flats and down hills. My legs still need to get in better biking shape as they are what gets tired way before I peak my HR.

No ride tomorrow I've going to get my hand gun lisence so I'll soon be packing.
