I felt much better today. My last run was miserable. This week will be tapering, running about half the miles I have been running. This training cycle has gone well except for the fact I've really cut the overall miles down and less intense workouts such as good long tempo runs. We'll see how it plays out in a couple of weeks at the Woodlands Marathon. I'm planning on pacing for a 3:30 the first half of the marathon and then dropping to go for a 3:25. Hope my indurance is there!

Man...I'm sure hoping the weather gets cooler for the marathon in two weeks. I'm really taking a chance running a marathon this late in the year and down by Houston where it is rarely cool. Today at 70 degrees it was tough! I ran this at MGP but there's no way I could have run 26 miles with this effort. I've learned that I have to keep my HR below 85% to maintain for a marathon.

Too wet and cold to run outside. Went to the gym and ran 7 miles on the TM at a constant 7:55 pace. It felt more like 15 at 7:15 pace.

Does anyone want to run the SoCal Ragnar April 6-7th. We're looking for 2 more runners!! :-)

Back to summer weather. It's hard to gain confindence doing this.

Ran in my race shoes for the first time in I don't know when. Sure could feel the road noise! Gonna run in them the next few times I run and see if I think I can do it for the marathon.
