Not much to report. Ran 7 miles without a watch. Mostly very slow with a few blasts of speed.

I was still tired from yesterdays run.

I take my son, Kirby, to college tomorrow. This will leave us with an empty nest. I'm starting to feel a little depressed. I am very proud of Kirby, he is an upstanding young man and I know he is ready for a new chapter in his life and will do well wherever God leads him.

So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

Congratulations to Kirby! How exciting! Where’s he going? What is he studying? I’m sorry you are bummed, but it has to be wonderful to see him off, on his way to limitless opportunities! Wow! Big day tomorrow!

He is going to Baylor University. He is a bit undecided on a major right no, but starting out in engineering.

Happy and sad day.

(and a chance for me to run 1 more mile than you, I’m guessing. Muh-ha-ha! Excellent! )

Be strong, pop, be strong.

I just saw this, and I hope Kirby gets to hear a speech like this when he gets there:

Good luck to the both of you! Have a good day tomorrow.

Nice Effort yesterday, too.
