Dang It...Dang It...Dang It...!!!

Another setback! I had a accident (horse related) this weekend and either broke or sprained my big toe really badly. It is all black and blue, swolen and very painful to move. I was supposed to do my long run on Saturday and Interval training again today but there was no way I could do either. I managed to go to the gym and run on the elliptical for 5 miles. It was uncomfortable but at least I did something. I also did a few leg presses and some upper body work. I am going to be really disappointed if this toe doesn't get better very quickly!

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I don't know what's going on but there are a few comments, entered below, that were pulled up from some previous blog entry. Notice the entry date of Jan. 3rd. I guess it's a program glitch. I tried to get rid of them but couldn't.

Yeah, I know what you mean, my legs seem to settle in to a 7:30-7:40 pace now for easy runs. When I started 4 years ago I was high 9:00's low 10:00s.

Good luck on the repeats. Can't wait to read all about it later.

Big difference between the two runs! I really need to get motivated to run harder.....I'm just too tired everyday. How do you do it?

From JG on Tue, Jan 03, 2012 at 19:05:03 from 71.59.27.33

Wait ... I am confused, is it Nov. 26th already?

Nice run! You must have had your orange tank on....

The orange shirt lets you run...IN THE FUTURE!

Good run, I bet it was nice to run easy for once!

Will the real November 26th, please stand up!

I am guessing this is a current post and not the one that you posted earlier in the year in January.

Sorry to hear this! Wow, that is really bad news. I hope it heals up soon.

Sorry about your toe, man. I injured my little toe @ 10 days ago, and I'm still feeling it, so I can imagine how upsetting your situation is.

In happier news, I like the new pic. It's kind of a Venus De Milo thing, with sunglasses, and a wagging tongue. That's a good look!

From I Just Run on Mon, Nov 26, 2012 at 20:43:00 from 12.162.141.2

I'm really, really hoping I can run in a couple of days. I'm sure its going to be painful but I can't miss more than a week of running and stay on track with my training.
