It's funny how when you break up a run like this is seems so much easier. Polina wanted me to run two miles with her so miles 6,7 were with her. The goal was to stick as close to (perfect condition) MGP as possible. The hills always make it hard to stay very consistent.

2 7:30:00 143 74%

Target: Run some MGP miles. Did it but it seemed harder than the HR indicates. Ran the 1st 4 out & back on hills, 2nd toward the flat land.

Solid run. Just curious....what is your mhr? Hr looks great compared to your pace. I would like to compare. I monitor my hr a couple times a month just to see if I'm gaining fitness...

Great miles. I agree, the breakup makes the miles seem easier. I don't know if it's all mental or what. Looks like you're keeping Polina out and about.

Rye,

My MHR is 184, resting is 32. So 70-80 is basically in my Aerobic Zone of HR. If I can stay within this zone for 20 miles in the marathon I should be able to kick to the end for a pretty decent time.

I have to look at my HR over several runs, over several months to really see any change. Month to month doesn't seem to be much different.

Matt,

Polina is doing good. She has to run at 6:00 am to give her time to get ready and get to school so I have to work my run around her schedule if I want to run with her. We've got our timing worked out pretty good as I run in, meet up with her and we take off together. :-)

My max is 188.....wow resting 32!?!? That's awesome.
