Evening Entry:

Rode from work to Martindale then Home  -  25.25 miles @ 16.6 mph, HR 129.

There was a strong head wind most of the way so I didn't push too hard on this ride.

Total Biking Miles for the day: 45.5

______________________________________________________________________

No running today... Biked this morning for 20.25 miles. I believe this was my strongest solo bike ride so far. I have run a little faster but that was with the BIG BOYS (for part of the ride) so there was some drafting going on then. I have done this same route several times but not as fast and with a higher hearat rate. I'm sure the cooler weather has something to do with the lower heart rate and faster speed but I'm hoping some of it is better conditioning. I may ride again this evening, home from work, since I had to loan my truck out to a friend again.

Here's the results of this morning's ride:

10/5/2011 (Morning Ride)
Miles Time Speed HR HR % To Redwood and Back & Around Big Loop
20.25 18.9 135 68%
20.25 Total 18.9
Miles Speed 135 68%

IJR... heart rate and speed is awesome! Even if you were drafting that is some great speed. Sounds like you could have been in the low 20's mph with just a little more effort. Cycling high!!!!

From I Just Run on Wed, Oct 05, 2011 at 12:27:08 from 67.79.11.242

No drafting on this ride (solo). The elevation change is about 200' througout the ride.

Oops, I missed that word (solo) sorry. I guess I was confused due to the low hr and speedy times. Please forgive me of my ignorance. Is this ride with rolling hills? I love to cycle with rollers. I owe you a 50 pound bag of spuds!

Riding home from work..... You are a terrorist fighter! Nice.

From I Just Run on Wed, Oct 05, 2011 at 13:20:24 from 67.79.11.242

Yes...rolling hills most are about 50' change (usually about 15 to 23 mph changes). I love spuds...I hate terrorist...!!!

Nice ride! 20 MPH is right around the corner. That HR shows you are there.

Great rides, and psyched you got a solid 6 mile run in yesterday pain free! Looks like things are moving in the right direction, great cross training helped!

Coming on really strong, especially on top of a strong run yesterday.

From I Just Run on Thu, Oct 06, 2011 at 15:22:13 from 67.79.11.242

Dave...That illusive 20 may be hard. I need to find some flat roads.

JG & Flat...Thanks and yes, I'm on vacation starting Sat. for a week and will only be able to run on a treadmill. We'll see how that goes, I really don't want to take a step backwards.
