Feeling a little down right now. We took Kirby (my son) off to college yesterday. Now we have no kids in the house. Life is changing!

I had no plan for running today, I just woke up early so I went out and took off. At the second turn I decide to run my old 10 mile route. I haven't run it in quite a while. When I got to the Smallville loop I decided to run that loop adding another 2 miles. If I were thinking about running today I guess I would say this was pretty good run with decent results.

Don't worry, kids always come back. That's what I hear anyway. :-)

But yeah, I can imagine it's a strange feeling.

Nice run!

How weird to have an empty nest. More running! Like derhammer said, they'll be back. :)

Great run today with a plan; excellent no plan run. Way to finish fast the last two especially.

I'm envious. My daughter is 20 and she's still here.

The first thing I am going to do when my kids are gone is to buy a one bedroom condo without a sleeper sofa!

We plan on selling everything we own, getting a sweet RV (possibly with some wolves and/or a moon airbrushed on it), and hitting the road.

LOL @ TomK

Nice run, IJR. I think I've only shortened my runs, not added on to them, unless I get lost or something. Congrats on having 2 kids in college - sounds expensive! Time to turn his room into a gym or something, right?

Nice long run and a great way to get your mind off the heavy stuff. My youngest just turned 18 last week. At this point he's not interested in college or even getting a job so count yourself lucky :)
