Ran 2 miles at just below 8:00 pace to test how I'm feeling. For some reason I didn't feel very good last night. Woke up 5 or 6 times and feeling almost like I had the flu or something...just ached all over, felt better this morning. I'm going to pick up my packet for the race after lunch.

Ran anoter 2 miles at just below 8:00 pace in the evening. I know it's against what most people are recommending, but I just need to feel confident about my pace. This week has been so weird I just felt like I needed to do this to gain some confidence.

Yuck, flu-like symptoms. Always seems to happen right before the big day. Shouldn't affect you too much for the half as long as it isn't too uncomfortable. Good luck tomorrow. (Love the new pic, is that a hydration strategy you are developing?)

I think I'll be fine...I know I'll beat my PR...Oh yeah, I don't have a PR...! :)

I figured the picture was appropriate since I look a little like him and I'll probably need to be assimilated to turn me into a real runner!

Thanks for the encouragement.
