Long run today. I was hoping to knock this one out a little faster and a little easier but struggled a little throughout the run feeling tired. It might be because I haven't really gotten a good/long nights sleep in a couple of weeks. Going to bed at 11-12 and getting up at 5 just isn't enough sleep :-(

This run was supposed to be 10 miles @ 7:26 according to the training schedule but I've been making all of my runs a little longer than the schedule to see if it will increase my endurance a little. My plan was to start out a little slow and gradually build my effort throughout the run. I feel I did pretty well at that. The actual times do vary some because of the hills. I ran my small loop twice and added smallville in once to make the total distance. Miles 1 and 9, 2 and 10, etc. are corresponding miles on the course.

My pace is always off when I don't sleep well for a long stretch like that. Good miles and run though!

Great run Preston ... 15 miles at a pace that would produce a 10 minute marathon PR is always rock solid, especially when you did a 21 miler last weekend! Rest up, let your body come back stronger from those two runs ... and you will be ready to roll in 2 weeks for the full 26.2! :)

Nice running today. You started out easy and picked it up nicely. Enjoy the taper, you've put in some good work.

Nice run. Sleep is not overrated!

Good job. I think it is a wise plan to make the runs a little longer - it should pay off during the last 2-3 miles of the marathon. And get some sleep! ;-)

Looking good for Cowtown. Be careful on your taper, not too much or too little, easy to say!
