Since Friday is an "Off" day for me I thought I would use it to post a link to Callie's (my daughter) Blog. As you may know she is in Africa on a mission trip. If you're interested at all, read her blog entry for Jan. 5th. Although she's only 20, she has insight most of us will never see.

Here's the link:

Thanks for sharing that, she has some great thoughts and is doing some great work. When I was 20 all I cared about was whether my fake ID would work at the 7/11.

Great link, enjoy the 'off' time :) Thanks for your prayers mate, much appreciated!

Thanks Joe and Dan for taking a look at Callie's Blog. Sometimes you don't have to look very far for inspiration. It took me 40 years to look beyond myself :-(

Wow ... she is doing some amazing work, and her perspective is awesome, as she grows individually through her service & strives to fulfill her mission in the most meaningful way! You obviously did a great job raising her & should be very proud!

Hey Preston, thanks for sharing. Great experience for your daughter, not to mention the lives that she touched. Kids (young adults) seem to be rising above the last generation ten fold. It's great to see. I am very optimistic about the future of this great nation.

She has such a beautiful heart. I think it is always like that when you try to teach others about the love of the Savior that you have in your heart. I remember being 21 and serving a mission in Indiana. I was shocked that so many of the inner-city children didn't even know who Jesus Christ was. They were born into households full of drugs, drinking and all sorts of things that you would hope no one would be exposed to. It was heart breaking and hard to try to make some kind of a difference in their lives.

Thanks everbody for taking a look at Callie's blog. It's really cool to see young people making a difference in the world. I'm just blessed that one of them is my daughter!
