This is my last major run before OKC. The weather was perfect at 55 degrees and 80% humidity :-) I wore my Kinvara 2 shoes and stashed my water along the route so I wouldn't have to wear my belt with all of the weight. I also took two endurolyte tablets before I ran and two Hammer Gels (one at mile 3 and one at mile 7). I thought it would be good to try things just as they will be at the race. I'm sure the temperature will be a perfect 55 degrees!!!

I picked up the pace on the last two miles but obviously couldn't have kept that up for very long. Now it's time to rest for ten days.

Those miles are lookin' good! Those are perfect temps! How did you feel with the electrolyte tabs and Hammer Gel? I can tell a big difference between running without and running with. I'm excited for you. I am hoping for perfect weather!

Nice run IJR, looks like good splits. Just hold back those first few miles in the race and you will be good to go!

Great last workout, and strong finish. I trust your forecast at least as much as any weather-guessing meterologist!

Looking good! It looks like your right where you need to be to get that BQ.

From Dan on Thu, Apr 19, 2012 at 18:06:31 from 24.209.83.20

Strong run! Let's settle for 54 degrees :) Seriously, you are ready to roll.

From JG on Sat, Apr 21, 2012 at 07:50:36 from 71.57.246.108

Looks great Preston, hoping for cool weather for you & wishing you the best ... I think you will rock it this time with all the long runs under your belt! Just start conservative!!! :)
