I'm not sure why I can't add text to my blog from my phone but can add comments. Anyway...no run today. My hip and back or whatever is still giving me fits. I did order a bike on Monday so hopefully I can start riding soon. I'm really hoping the biking doesn't hurt the hip.

I'm actually headed up to Kansas today to work on an Extreme Home Makeover project. Our company was asked to put in a small water play area at the recipients home. I'll let you know how that goes. I'll be there thru saturday.

Hey have fun on the travels. Is your phone an android phone? Even if it is an Iphone, download the 'Opera' web brower app and fine 'fast running blog', log in and then you can add txt- trust me, works fine :)

Hope you heal soon!

Ah yes an android..! I like most of its functions better than my old I-phone. I'll look for the app.

Thanks

It will be nice to be able to do some cycling to keep your fitness up while your hip/back heals. Hope you're able to do it without irritating them.

Sounds like a fun project in Kansas.

Hey Dave

My wife said my bike came in. I'm excited to get home, assemble it and get it fitted. I need to get shoes, helmet, riding gear, etc. also. I'm also hoping it doesn't hurt when I ride.

The EHM project is pretty cool but I worked all night last night...no sleep at all. I've got a couple more days of work but not as intense. The show will air sometime in the fall but they "move the bus" on Saturday at 7:00 pm. It will be interesting when it airs.

Cool sounding project ... how cool to have a new bike awaiting your return! Travel safely, sounds like you may be operating on limited sleep!

2 hour in the last 40... Good night :-)

From SlowJoe on Fri, Aug 05, 2011 at 11:34:48 from 132.3.53.68

Cool, let us know how they liked it all. Get some sleep!

From Steam8 on Fri, Aug 05, 2011 at 12:16:07 from 166.70.55.77

Yikes! Get some sleep! That is good news about the bike...I hope it doesn't hurt you and will strengthen things up and give your bod a break from running.

Are you going to be on TV when it aires? Let me know, I would love to watch it.

I broke down and changed our phone plans to Verizon and I am now up to speed with an iphone so that I know what all of your are talking about. It is so stinking expensive and I am CHEAP! It cost us 800 bucks to dump our old plan with Sprint. Yikes. What a rip off these phones are. And having an iphone is just like carrying around a computer everywhere. Even more of a time waster for me! ha! Safe travels home tomorrow!!!

Exciting news about the bike. Is it a road bike or mountain bike?

From I Just Run on Sat, Aug 06, 2011 at 00:35:04 from 166.137.142.48

Hey Steam & Dave

I bought an all carbon road bike. I'm really hoping it help my training. I was thinking a tri bike but couldn't find one I liked in the price range.

I now have an HTC Android phone. I actually jab gone through 2 I-phones . I actually like this one better. You're right about them being time wasters. Sorry about the expense...maybe you should have bought a road bike :+)

From JG on Mon, Aug 08, 2011 at 11:22:20 from 71.57.246.108

Let's see ... you are either sleeping ... or trying to figure out how to put your bike together! Actually, probably working ... anyhow, hope you had a safe return from Kansas & your hip is feeling better after a few days rest!
